Shipping Charges
If a product doesn't have a Free Shipping label, then shipping will be charged at checkout. A handling charge of $5 to $15, depending on the products and the amount of the order, is included.
Please note that our shipping software isn't always accurate, especially when ordering multiples of the same item or very heavy items. If you are overcharged for shipping, we will issue you store credit for the difference. If you are undercharged, then you got a great deal!
International Orders
We do not ship internationally.
Order Confirmation
As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase. When we receive your order, we reach out to our suppliers to confirm that it is available for shipment within the specified time frame.
If your item is on back-order or unavailable, we will reach out to you via email or phone and void the pre-authorization if you so desire. If your item(s) are available for shipment, we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.

Please keep in mind that processing times may be a little longer during holiday periods. Shipments can also be delayed due to supply-chain issues with our manufacturers. We will inform you if there is any significant delay expected.
We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out. If you do not receive tracking information from us within six business days of your order, feel free to follow up with us at sales@lapidarymart.com.
Damages
Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make note of it when signing for delivery. If your item(s) do arrive damaged, please send photos to returns@lapidarymart.com and we will process an insurance claim on your behalf.
Lightning Lap D'Lite Diamond Laps
The D'Lite Diamond Laps are Resin-Bonded faceting laps available in 6 grit sizes from 600 to 50k. Just use water as lubrication! Grit sizes are color coded for your convenience.
These diamond laps come in both Standard format with a 1/4" thickness and Topper format with a 0.125" thickness. These laps have a diamond impregnated, resin surface. With care, they are long-lasting and do a great job on gemstones.
A word of caution: The D'Lite 600 grit is not a direct replacement for a metal-bond diamond steel lap. However, they are good follow-up laps for coarse pre-polishing, after cutting facets with a steal diamond lap.

I am still learning. I was using metal diamond laps up to 3000 grit then transitioning to lightning lap 8000 grit to start the polish. The problem that I was having was when transitioning the angle was always slightly off and I would have to play with the cheater adjustment to align with the facets. After purchasing a 1200 and 3000 grit lightning lap, I no longer have to adjust the cheater saving time.

Great product! This completes my collection of lightning laps. Couldn't wait to try it. I definitely recommend picking up all of the lightning laps for gem cutting.
Very nice quality products
I'm sold on Lightning Laps. This product line has made polishing so EASY!!! It's hard to believe how these laps work. I'm now moving to the cutting laps to see how they work as well. I had some of the cheaper cutting laps create fine scratches that remain after the polishing phase 😵💫 Yeah, I had my fill on those and spent over $100 on cheap toppers for cutting. We'll see how the Lightning Lap cutting laps work. I think they are worth the extra money to avoid throwing money away on the cheap ones you can get from overseas.
The 14K Gray Lightning Lap made quick work on polishing. I spent hours polishing facets on another brand polishing lap and this completed the polishing phase in minutes. I was amazed at how one facet could be polished in seconds with the Lightning Lap while it took minutes/hours before with the other brand. I'm a beginner cutter and this lap helped me a greatly!
I love these I'm glad i bought the wrong one first now i have one dedicated to polishing the girdle
This works so well I'm mad at myself for spending so much money on copper laps just for them to pick up scratches immediately.

I have never been disappointed with Lightning lap products. They are a bit pricey to build a complete collection but the time saved and the greatly reduced probability of cross contamination compared to using diamond paste is well worth it. Once you try them you will never want to use anything else.
These are great laps. They don't last as long as metal, but do things metal laps can't do--they are "soft" to the stone, great for pre-polish or polish.

I mistakenly ordered a 6” lap instead of 8”. I contacted Lapidary Mart & was promptly told how to return it and offered credit for the correct laps. Superior customer service I appreciated.
I have used these laps from 600 grit up to 14 k for a few years now as a commercial cutter. They are super for light facet cutting to prepolish to polish. As they wear in, the polish gets even better, as the grit essentially gets finer. I can go from a slightly worn 600 grit lap directly to polish in most cases, depending on species of course. The nice thing is that they have aggressive polishing properties, so you can actually polish in small facets, and you don't waste time going through a lot of lap stages. There are not too many gems I've tried (even many soft ones) that these laps won't polish well--and quickly--from a hardness of 3 to a hardness of 9.
I am a commercial cutter for the jewelry trade. I have used these laps for years, and I have never found any other lap that cuts as clean and lasts as long as these do.

I have now used the 3k 8" topper for a couple of weeks. It works very well, in fact it works better than my 6" full thickness 600, 1200 & 3k laps which tend to not run true, i.e. 'whap-whap-whap'. I haven't tried the 8k or 14k toppers yet, but expect them to work as well as the 3k & AlOx toppers. I think based on my experience to-date (inclduing AlOx 8" topper), I will continue to order D'Lite topper laps, rather than the full thickness version.
