Question: Do you sell a metal cutting blade... I've got your diamond, and your wood blades already... I have used the wood blade to cut in a pinch several fine brass items occasionally,,, but it is hard on the blade... Any better solution would be helpful to know about... Looking for a brass cutting blade specifically................ This miniature table band saw allow great access concerning such items as this...

Disks are exceptionally good quality, I do wish they’d last a little while longer though.
Fantastic polishing lap for opals. Produces a mirror finish quickly without messy cerium slurry. Fast, clean, and easy to use once you learn to use light pressure and keep the stone moving. It won’t hide scratches from earlier grits, but when your pre-polish is right, the results are outstanding. One of the best lapidary purchases I’ve made.
I used the 600 mesh through the 8,000 mesh, followed by cerium oxide, with hard felt bits on a Foredom, to polish this Praisolite cabochon - the first I've ever made! It turned out lovely. It only seems to take a very small amount of compound to work well... The paste spreads very far and very easily. So it seems the 5g syringes I ordered should last quite a while.
I planned to use these for polishing organic shaped stone carvings, and they will certainly do the trick.
I am still learning. I was using metal diamond laps up to 3000 grit then transitioning to lightning lap 8000 grit to start the polish. The problem that I was having was when transitioning the angle was always slightly off and I would have to play with the cheater adjustment to align with the facets. After purchasing a 1200 and 3000 grit lightning lap, I no longer have to adjust the cheater saving time.

Normally these discs are fantastic. The #600 that I recently purchased, shipped with a significant gash in the surface, rendering unusable. These discs are not exactly inexpensive, so something received like this really hurts.

The mark on the disk happens sometimes in manufacturing. It normally does not affect performance. You were given authorization to return it for a replacement but so far, you have not done so.
I have wanted a rocksaw for quite a while and I am very happy with my Covington 16 inch saw. It arrived in perfect condition and is amazing to use.

Old Miser is very helpful in creating a muddy slurry that makes less grit work harder. I use it for all coarse grit stages whether I’m tumbling metallic slag, agates or quartz.

I purchased rock tumbler that came with 2 barrels and they had let me exchange the 2 barrels for a single 12 pound one, I’m very happy that they did that, it was my fault and they were very helpful, I’ll be purchasing more equipment in the future
Great tumbler. You can practically fill one or both 6 pound barrels and it runs without breaking a sweat. No leaks. Great tumbling action with faceted rubber interior. Motor runs hot, about 125 degrees F. This is normal. It’s not quiet, sounds similar to dishwasher when left running in kitchen. I moved it to the garage. I was happy enough to order another one, virtually the same but with a single 12 pound barrel so I could tumble larger rocks. Lapidary Mart ships fast with excellent packaging. I’m happy to recommend.

Restored Lortone ST10 as a summer project, learning to use it I ruined the old blade that came with it. Overspeed & inexperience. This new blade is worth the cost, digging into the rock pile I inherited from my Dad. Today it made two see-through slabs of green moss agate.
I live on the North Fork of the John Day River and am very fortunate to find gems and “ colorful treasures”. These are a batch finished with the step 2 grit. The other barrel is in the middle of polishing River glass.
This is my second 2 barrel Lortone; my other one was given to me 23 years ago—— and is still going strong!
This is my first rock tumbler. This tumbler has an even and consistent sound that naturally becomes background noise. It’s very easy to use and to clean. I love watching it spin. It’s easy to load and to clean.
I have been tumbling for more than 5 years, and the Lortone tumblers are the best. They are quieter than any other tumblers I have tried ... it is amazing how much that really matters. The tumblers can be easily fixed when a belt breaks, and they are easy to maintain with gun oil or spray where the rods run into the housing. It is great that the Lortone tumblers and accessories are available again, and that Lapidary Mart provides them at the same cost as when they disappeared years ago.

We're sorry you had a bad experience with this pad. We have sold a lot of them and this is the first time we've heard of any problem. Please keep in mind that this could happen if you're trying to polish very rough material. They are generally intended for polishing cut slabs.
Love the machine. Slabs my rocks to the right size and I no longer have wedge shaped slabs. Cuts slabs a little faster than I thought it would. Very Happy after only a few weeks of use. I have already slabbed up more than a dozen rocks.
