The Covington Vertical Glass Beveler is the perfect addition to any glass-working studio. It’s designed to bevel inside or outside curves and boasts a range of features that make it a must-have for any professional or hobbyist glassworker.
The adjustable sponge bench is designed to minimize splash-back. The back plate is equipped with a spray nozzle to insure adequate lubrication. The water valve takes 1/4" OD plastic tubing for gravity water-flow or 1/4" copper tubing for pressure systems.
The wheel speed can be determined by the size of the wheel; 420 rpm for 10" wheels, 785 rpm for 8" wheels or 1,100rpm for 6" wheels. Choose the speed that is needed for the wheel diameter you expect to use. If you are going to be using 2 wheel sizes, choose the faster speed.
Changing out wheels is made simple with the removable tank sides, providing easy access to the wheels. The heavy-duty ball bearings, neoprene-sealed and greased for life, provide a smooth and durable operation. The rustproof base ensures long-lasting use.
The turned, ground, and polished steel shaft is designed for optimal performance and reliability. The 1/2 horsepower motor provides ample power for most glass-working applications, while the belt guard ensures safety during use. The arbor can be quickly disassembled (4 bolts) for pulley change or bearing inspection.
